Our Top THREE FAVORITE Restaurants in Granbury!
Our family ENJOYS living AND eating in Granbury! We love restaurants who offer a wonderful menu, great service, and an inviting atmosphere!
Here are our favorite restaurants:
1 - The Hilton Garden Inn's Weekend Brunch
This place is one of the best places to eat breakfast in town (especially on the weekends). They usually have 8-10 different selections of food on the hot buffet (ranging from hot biscuits and gravy to delectable bacon and sausage). They also have a wonderful selection of fruit, juice, cereal, and yogurt items on the "lighter" part of the breakfast section. People who desire the "make their own" breakfast option can make their own oatmeal (with dried cranberries, nuts, or chocolate chips) OR make their own waffle (with great toppings). The pastries are always fresh and the coffee/tea offerings are always hot (with a mug or "to go" options).

The best part of this weekend brunch is the "made to order" option. I love the fact that this restaurant can make omelets, pancakes, french toast, and other items to your specifications. I love, love, love the Hilton Garden Inn's weekend brunch!
2 - Hoffbrau Steaks!
http://hoffbrausteaks.com/granbury/ |
This is one of my favorite lunch/dinner restaurants in Granbury! Great service, large portions, and amazing food! This place never disappoints! The hot rolls are amazing and come (upon request) with every meal, the roasted corn is the best veggie, AND the restaurant enables you to "taste" your cut of meat before purchasing! One of the best aspects of this restaurant is the whipped banana pudding. Heaven in a bowl!
3 - Cotton Patch
http://www.cottonpatch.com/locations/granbury.htm |
This restaurant has been one of my monthly staples since college! I love Cotton Patch and I enjoy their food selection (especially the blackened fish and chicken fried steak). The rolls and cornbread (my favorite) are always consistently great! The soup is amazing and the take out menu is my standby option when I do not have time to cook during the week.
Cotton Patch always has great coupons in the Val Pak mailing insert for Granbury AND you have the option of printing the coupons on the Val Pak website. Wonderful restaurant! GREAT atmosphere! Amazing selection of food. In addition, I love the relationship that Cotton Patch has with the local community, there is always a donation option to a local charity along with your meal price! Great!
What are your favorite restaurants in Granbury? Did your favorite restaurant make the list?
Sincerely,
My Granbury Family

Christmas at the Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort - Traveling with My Granbury Family - #marriott
This Christmas, our family decided to visit the Horseshoe Bay Resort in Horseshoe Bay, Tx. My husband and I had been to the resort a couple of times for New Year's and Christmas, but this time we decided to invite my parents, my in-laws, and our newest edition... Baby Girl!
The drive is 2 and 1/2 hours from Granbury and we arrived around 3pm. Our rooms were ready and we had a swift check-in. When we checked in, I was greeted with a whistle from the parrot in the lobby (Joseph) and a sweet glance from the Betta fish on the front desk (one was placed at each station). Pure bliss! As platinum guests, we received an upgrade and we were placed in the James Bowie Suite! Thank God for James Bowie, because the suite was amazing! We had a wonderful view of the pool from our balcony and a wonderful seating area.
Alex (at the front desk) was amazing and we visit many Marriott hotels and resorts throughout the year and she has one of the best attitudes and focus on customer service that I have seen this year!
We booked the Relaxation Package which included: a) SPA treatment and b) Breakfast Buffet each day.
Christmas at the Marriott Horseshoe Bay Resort...
Each day was just like Christmas...right before Christmas Day! The resort was decorated impeccably and the music throughout the lobby set the mood for the holiday! The first day, we were handed a schedule and it was filled with amazing activities each hour!
Dining at the Resort...
The food was outstanding! The daily selection ranged from biscuits and gravy to smoked salmon and a selection of delectable fruit.
On Christmas Eve, we were reluctant to pay $34 per person for the meal, but this selection was definitely worth the price! Wonderful entree selection: salmon, quail, prime rib, and my favorite... truffle mashed potatoes.
The dessert selection was fabulous as well!
By the way, the dining staff was amazing! Especially, William, Matthew and the staff from Shreveport and New Orleans! I can definitely see them doing great things at the resort!
Christmas at Horseshoe Bay Marriott...
On the first day, we walked around the numerous trails at the resort, one of which featured a flamingo, parrots, a puffin, waterfalls, and amazing scenery! Then, we visited the activities center and it was decorated VERY well (including little elves and a tricycle hanging from the ceiling). Something magical happened and Santa appeared! Our family has been on a search for St. Nick since Thanksgiving! We wanted to take an inaugural picture with Baby Girl and Santa and we finally had a chance.
Our Christmas was complete when at the Christmas Eve dinner, we were asked how many children were in our party. We told them one and they delivered a beautiful red stocking filled with crayons and others neat gifts for baby girl to our door! When we arrived back from dinner, the stocking was on the door and I was overjoyed! It made our Christmas complete!
Traveling with a Baby at Horseshoe Bay Resort...
The resort definitely caters to guests with children! Most rooms feature a refrigerator, which is great for snacks and milk! Within a few hours, a pack and play was delivered (with a comforter) to our room. The pack and play was essential for new parents, because our little one is almost walking independently and she loves exploring!
In addition, to the usual hotel visit, this visit featured a reading of "''Twas the Night Before Christmas" with Mrs. Claus, milk and cookies for Santa, pictures with Santa, complimentary apple cider and hot chocolate, caroling, and meeting new friends from other families.
Spa Services at the Horseshoe Bay Resort..
This has been a long, but amazing year for me (as a new mom) and I needed a break, so I booked a pedicure and massage. The spa services were absolutely amazing and the pedicure was wonderful! Deborah did my pedicure and she was extremely professional and focused on customer service. Amazing woman! She also teaches a few of the yoga and Pilates classes at the resort - I definitely have to take one of these next time!
We plan to come back next Christmas and I might come back during Spring Break week! Another review!
